Rowing Machine Exercise
1-HIIT Sprints: This is one of the best rowing exercises where you select 30/30r in Concept 2 Rower Menu. This is suitable when you don’t have time and looking for a quick high-intensity workout. The sweat will start dripping in 10mins only, and you will see the fast calorie burn. This rowing exercise improves your strength and stamina. In half an hour workout, you can burn around 500 calories. Keep the posture right, and you can change the stroke rate from 26 to 32 depending on your comfort.
2-Pyramid Power: This is the second exercise that you can go for. For this, Go to the Concept 2 Monitor and Select v1:00/1:00r in the Menu. This is not a quick sweat exercise like HIIT Sprint instead this is sort of intermediate level to improve your consistency and endurance at the same time. It’s recommended to maintain the same pace for each interval. Irregular speed won’t be that effective and might lead to strain in your body. To make sure, you are rowing at the same speed in each interval; you have to monitor watts by keeping the unit as “time per 500 meters”.
Try to maintain the right posture by keeping your back straight and bending your legs. You can burn around 400-500 calories in half an hour depending on the pace you maintain.
3-Lean Leapfrog: This is the third workout that you can choose on the concept 2 rowers. This one, you can select by selecting v1:00/1:00r on the Menu. In this workout, you’ll put force on the muscles of your leg. This workout is the bit different from other rowing workouts. Most of the exercises that we do while rowing is aerobic, but this one, in particular, is anaerobic. Here, the exertion will make you feel as you are lifting the dumbles.
